India to Steamline its Approval Process

Any company who has tried to get regulatory approval for any bioag or pharma product in India knows that the hoops to jump through can be tedious, confusing and time-consuming. To try to foster innovation and get rid of the red tape that keeps new technologies from getting to the Indian market, India has announced that it is replacing the old system with a single agency and process for any agricultural or medical product.

At first blush, this is great news. Stay tuned to see how the transition from one system to the next is handled and how companies are able to adapt.
