HP Researchers Find Nanotechnology that May Replace Transistors

Ah ... to be back in the old engineering days with transistors and resistors and the like, making various contraptions. That may all change in the next decade or two for engineering students. HP scientists have announced that they have made a "cross-bar" latch  that could someday replace transistors, saving a lot of space inside those plastic computer casings and perhaps making the computers even faster. They admit that it is just nascent technology that needs a lot of fine tuning, but it's always exciting to hear of something coming up in the technology world.
